Qualifications
Dr Shyam D completed his masters in Surgery (MS) from Stanley Medical College, Chennai and went on to pursue MCh degree in Neurosurgery from the prestigious Madras Medical College in Chennai, India. He was awarded the Kalyanaraman Gold Medal and also the TN Dr MGR Medical University Gold medal for his outstanding performance during his residency. After completing his residency he visited several departments of neurosurgery across the world and earned a fellowship in cerebrovascular surgery under Prof Yoko Kato where he learned complex cerebrovascular surgery and bypass surgery. He then acquired his skull base surgery certification from
Weill Cornell Medical College under Prof Antonio Bernardo.He was awarded the fellowship of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and International Fellowship of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (IFAANS).
